A 34-year-old man lost his life in a traffic accident in the village of Beša in the district of Levice. The traffic accident happened in the night hours from Thursday (May 28) to Friday on road II/580, reported the Regional Directorate of the Police Force in Nitra.

The driver of the Alfa Romeo car probably did not adjust the driving speed to his abilities, characteristics of the vehicle and went into the opposite direction in a right-hand turn. He then got into a ditch, where he hit a concrete bridge with the front part of the vehicle. The driver suffered injuries during the impact and succumbed to them at the scene of the accident.
The police started a criminal investigation for the crime of manslaughter. Possible consumption of alcoholic beverages by the driver will be determined during the autopsy. The circumstances, the degree of fault and the exact cause of the tragic traffic accident are the subject of an investigation.
