Rafael Furlanetti joins the board of Abrasca

XP executive and president of Ancord joins the body of the association that represents public companies

According to the association, Furlanetti’s inclusion seeks to expand the diversity of perspectives within the board and reinforce the presence of leaders with experience in the financial, business and institutional sectors.

Furlanetti joins other executives from the Brazilian business sector who already make up the board. Among them are Rodrigo Moccia, from Ambev, and Luiz Guimarães, ex-Cosan. The association’s board of directors is chaired by Renato Alves Vale, from Vale SA, who assumes the role of president. The vice-presidency is held by Rodrigo Boccia Pfeilsticker, from Ambev, while the executive board is headed by Veridiana Carvalho Amaral.

The executive will serve on the board alongside the other advisors. He will contribute to the entity’s decisions related to the development of the capital market, corporate governance and business environment in Brazil. The full composition of the board of directors also includes representatives from companies such as Petrobras, Itaú Unibanco, Bradesco, Banco do Brasil, Santander Brasil, BTG Pactual, Eletrobras, Gerdau, Klabin, Localiza, Magazine Luiza, Rede D’Or, Suzano and WEG, among other publicly traded companies.

Furlanetti will participate in discussions related to the development of the Brazilian capital market and initiatives to strengthen corporate governance.
