Rome – Felix Gall finished the Giro d’Italia in second place overall and celebrated the greatest success of his cycling career. The East Tyrolean only had to admit defeat to the confident overall winner Jonas Vingegaard (Visma) from Denmark, who celebrated his first Giro triumph with a lead of 5:22 minutes over the Decathlon captain. Local hero Jonathan Milan won the day in the mass sprint on the 21st and final stage of the 109th Tour of Italy in Rome.
