iFood says data from 1.2 million users was leaked

iFood confirmed this Wednesday (3) that there was a data leak from users using the platform. According to the company, the incident happened in December 2025 and was quickly controlled.

The delivery company reported in a note that the leaked data was “registration data, such as name and CPF, without any compromise of passwords, payment methods or financial records”.

iFood also states that only 2% of the user base was affected, denying the information that it would have been 43 million people. To the Infomoneythe company explained that the percentage corresponds to 1.2 million users.

“iFood regrets what happened and reinforces to users that all communications are made only through the platform’s official channels”, says the text released by iFood. The platform also states that it continues to act in compliance with the LGPD (General Data Protection Law).
