LGBT+ parade takes “Votinho” electronic ballot box to the streets

30th anniversary edition has the theme “The street calls, the ballot box confirms”; Electoral Justice also launched the Pilili mascot for the elections

An inflatable voting machine doll called “Vote”. The character circulated along Avenida Paulista in the year in which the event adopted as its theme “The street calls, the ballot box confirms”in reference to political mobilization and electoral participation.

The doll refers to Pilili, a mascot launched by the (Superior Electoral Court) for the 2026 elections. According to the court, the character was inspired by the electronic voting machine and received its name because of the sound emitted when the voter presses the “confirm” key.

The theme of the 2026 Parade connects the occupation of the streets to voting as an instrument to defend the rights of the LGBTQIA+ population. According to the organization, the proposal is to reinforce that social mobilization and participation in the polls are complementary dimensions of political activity.

This year’s edition takes place on Avenida Paulista, with gatherings starting at 10am. The event also confirmed the presence of names from the left to speak, such as federal deputies Erika Hilton (Psol-SP) and Sâmia Bomfim (Psol-SP). Guilherme Boulos (Psol-SP), minister of the General Secretariat of the Presidency, was scheduled to participate, but he did not attend.

The will be held on October 4th, in the 1st round. An eventual 2nd round will be on October 25th, for Executive positions where there is a need. The election will choose president and vice-president of the Republic, governors and vice-governors, senators, federal deputies, state deputies and district deputies.
