The plane he was taking (União Brasil) for a trip to the interior of the country suffered a technical problem and had to return to Salvador, where it made an emergency landing this Monday (8).
The pre-candidate for governor would fulfill a political agenda commitment in Livramento de Nossa Senhora, in the region of , but was unable to reach the location.
He was accompanied by Senate pre-candidate João Roma (PL), federal deputy Roberta Roma (PL) and state deputy Nelson Leal (PP).
“I want to thank everyone for the messages of affection and concern”, said the pre-candidate on Monday night, when thanking the messages received.
According to the politician, there was a problem during the flight that would take him to Livramento de Nossa Senhora and the plane returned to Salvador safely.
“Thank God, everything is fine with me and everyone on board,” he said. ‘My gratitude to everyone for the prayers.”
ACM’s political opponent, the governor (PT) released a video in which he shows solidarity with the pre-candidate.
“Thank God, everyone on board is safe,” he said. “Those who play politics know that we are subject to the risks of travel and moments like this remind us that our lives are worth a lot.”
The governor stated that the dispute must take place in the field of debate, ideas and proposals. “May everyone remain safe and healthy,” he concluded.
