ADOTA – Associação dos Animais de Santa Luzia-Tavira promotes, on June 20th, at 9pm, its annual solidarity party, at the Igreja da Misericórdia, in Tavira.
The initiative aims to bring together music, poetry and solidarity in a night dedicated to raising awareness about animal welfare and raising funds to support the work carried out by the association.
According to ADOTA, “rescuing an animal from a dangerous situation (mistreatment, being run over, or even being placed in a garbage container) is always a rewarding moment for whoever rescues it, a consolation for the soul, the awareness of an act of justice and love”.
The association reminds us that animal protection is also a form of care and closeness, highlighting that “loving our neighbor does not only include humans, our neighbor is also the animal that lives with us, which is our companion”.
In the statement, ADOTA also highlights the connection between animals and music, saying that “music touches any heart, adult, child, animal”.
Music and poetry at the service of animals
ADOTA’s annual party is presented as a solidarity show aimed at children and adults, in which music intersects with poetry, in an environment of sharing and awareness.
The association, which has already saved hundreds of animals, promotes this initiative annually with the aim of supporting the survival of rescued animals and reinforcing the importance of guaranteeing them decent conditions.
According to ADOTA, “culture is not just sharing knowledge, it is also sharing feelings, it is knowing how to accept the Other”.
The initiative thus seeks to provide a moment of joy for participants and remember that everyone can contribute to improving the lives of abandoned, mistreated or vulnerable animals.
