A school trip ended in , when a driver crashed his car into students on their bicycles, as a result of which three people lost their lives, two children, and an attendant.
The accident happened at around 12:30 in the afternoon on a highway near Vochelwarde in the province of Zeeland.
“A group of 14 children on bicycles and two chaperones were hit by a car during their school trip. During this incident, three people unfortunately lost their lives, including two children and an adult,” the authorities said.
But four children who were seriously injured were taken to hospital. The ages of the children were not released.
