Two helicopters crashed this Sunday morning (14) in the yard of a dealership on Avenida das Américas, near Recreio dos Bandeirantes, West Zone of Rio de Janeiro. According to information from the Military Fire Department of the State of Rio de Janeiro (CBMERJ), there are initial records of at least five fatalities.
A Young Pan discovered that the two aircraft collided in the air before crashing. Witnesses also reported explosions at the site after the falls. Cars caught fire, but the fire is now under control.
Military personnel from the Military Fire Detachment (DBM) of Recreio dos Bandeirantes are on site.
The circumstances of the aircraft crash have not yet been disclosed. The work of rescue teams and response to the incident continues.
