Albufeira Marina once again received the Blue Flag award, which it has been flying for the 23rd consecutive year, reinforcing its status as a reference in nautical tourism and environmental management.
The distinction, awarded by the Blue Flag Association for Environment and Education, recognizes the work carried out by Albufeira Marina in areas such as environmental management and education, safety, water quality and services provided to users.
The Blue Flag campaign aims to promote the protection of the marine and river environment, requiring strict criteria to be met before the award is awarded.
Award reinforces status of excellence in nautical tourism
With this further recognition, Albufeira Marina adds the Blue Flag to other important awards and certifications it already holds, including the maximum rating of 5 Gold Anchors, awarded by The Yacht Harbor Association, the ISO 14001 environmental certification and the Healthy and Safe Marina seal.
