Audible recently announcednew audio series based behind the scenes at the Tremembé Penitentiary Complexwritten by the same writers as the Prime Video series.
According to Audible’s statement, the idea is that the series expands the universe of “Tremembé”bringing to the public other points of view and unprecedented details about the institution, “in an atmosphere of psychological suspense”. The series is expected to reach the public next year, along with the second season of “Tremembé”, which is already in the filming stage.
The idea is that the expansion is similar to that of Prime Video’s production “O Maniac do Parque”, a fiction film starring Giovanna Grigio and Silvero Pereira, which won an audio series about the São Paulo serial killer, brought the voice of the criminal’s victims and talked about the media coverage of the crimes.
Leonardo Neumann, director of Original Content at , commented that bringing only the audio allows the screenwriters to explore the suspense in a different way. “They gain the freedom to explore the characters’ whispers, silences and psychological intimacy in a way that the screen does not allow. The audio is not an echo of the video; it is the missing piece for the listener’s immersion to be absolute.”
