Brussels/Strasbourg – The EU Parliament is expected to give the green light to the controversial “EU deportation law” in Strasbourg on Wednesday. The law presented a year ago by Migration Commissioner Magnus Brunner (ÖVP) enables faster and more efficient returns of people from third countries who are staying illegally in the EU. Return centers in third countries can now also be set up. Austria wants to start this quickly together with a “group of implementers”.
