One of the political leaders most implicated in the Master case, the national president of the PP, Ciro Nogueira, missed a meeting this Wednesday (17) at the (Superior Electoral Court) to discuss the integrity of the electoral process.
He was one of the only people absent from the meeting, proposed by the president of the TSE, Nunes Marques, between the commanders of the main parties.
Present were, among others, the presidents of PT, Edinho Silva, of PL, Valdemar Costa Neto, of PSD, Gilberto Kassab, of MDB, Baleia Rossi, of Podemos, Renata Abreu, of União Brasil, Antonio Rueda, of DC, João Caldas, and of Solidariedade, Paulinho da Força.
In Ciro’s absence, the PP was represented by federal deputy Ricardo Barros (PT), treasurer of the party. He says he was just told that he should attend the meeting, without knowing the reason.
“I received a message from the party’s administrative area saying that Ciro would not attend and that I should represent him. He did not tell me why,” said Barros.

Despite this, according to members of the PP, the senator’s position in command of the party is not subject to internal questioning, at least for now.
