The senator (-RJ) will release this Thursday (18), in São Paulo, his government plan for the area of public security, with a focus on combating criminal factions such as the Red Command and the PCC (Primeiro Comando da Capital).
The announcement is part of a strategy to oppose the government (PT), which opposed the government, declared days after Flávio visited the president at the White House.
According to Flávio’s allies, the plan must contain measures to equate factions and terrorists in Brazilian legislation. As shown by Sheetthe Senate already rejected this equivalence last year.
At the same time, the publication of proposals for the electoral campaign seeks, with the revelation that Flávio asked for and received money from the former banker, former owner of the , for the film “Dark Horse” (“underdog”, in English) about his father.
In the next 20 days, another axis of the government program should be released, according to allies. The theme and location of the announcement have not yet been decided, but the idea is to gradually announce the main campaign proposals.
Flávio’s government plan in the area of public security had the help of the former secretary of Public Security of São Paulo and federal deputy Guilherme Derrite (PP-SP), who is a pre-candidate for the Senate.
Derrite was rapporteur in the Chamber of Lula’s anti-faction bill, in an episode that strained the PT government’s relations with the president of the Chamber of Deputies, Hugo Motta (Republicanos-PB).
At the time, he defended classifying criminal factions such as Comando Vermelho and PCC as terrorist organizations, but ended up defeated after experts criticized the text and stated that the measure would create the risk of international punishment for companies based in Brazil.
To announce the plan, Flávio’s campaign released a video on social media in which he appears as a member of the Armed Forces and flies a helicopter alongside his father, former president Jair Bolsonaro (PL).
In the video, produced by artificial intelligence, he shoots a machine gun and explodes a boat marked PCC and another belonging to Comando Vermelho. In the end, a boat marked PT escapes. “Next Thursday I’m going to give bad news to the CV, the PCC and the PT. Wait for me”, he wrote in the post, used to encourage his base on social media.
