Player spent four seasons at Santa Clara after leaving Palmeiras in 2022/23.

Brazilian striker Gabriel Silva is a reinforcement for Sporting de Braga, with a five-year contract, until 2031, the Minho club announced this Friday, which paid 3.5 million euros to Santa Clara for the footballer’s transfer.

“SC Braga informs that it has reached an agreement with Santa Clara for the permanent transfer of the player Gabriel Silva. The young international striker for Brazil, aged 24, cost 3.5 million euros (for 100 percent of the pass) and signs a contract valid for the next five seasons (until 2031)”, can be read in the note from the Minho club.

In the deal, it is also said by the ‘arsenalistas’ that Santa Clara “preserves 20 percent of the gain from a potential future transfer” and that Gabriel Silva will have a termination clause of 40 million euros.

The striker arrives at Sporting de Braga after four seasons playing for Santa Clarain the last of which he scored 10 goals and provided one assist in 37 games played.

“I could have arrived earlier, but I also waited to prepare better and arrive in good condition. It will help me a lot to play with experienced athletes, because this will allow me to grow even more as a player”, said Gabriel Silva, quoted by the new club.

In his career, the striker formed his base at Palmeiras, where he reached the main team, which he left at the beginning of 2022/23 to represent Santa Clara.
