The II Exhibition of Successful Experiences of the State Management of the Unified Health System (SUS) for the Recovery of Vaccination Coverage recognized the campaign of the São Paulo government “São Paulo: everyone against yellow fever” as one of the five main communication initiatives in the country. Promoted by the National Council of Health Secretaries (Conass), the event brought together state representatives to share strategies to strengthen immunization in Brazil.
The São Paulo government presented the campaign developed in 2025 by the Communications and Health Secretariats in response to increase in diagnoses for yellow fever in the state. According to the São Paulo Executive, the initiative used strategies aimed at different audiences to combat misinformation.
At the event, the São Paulo government showed how the guidance to the population through the campaign to expand the reach of messages about vaccination in order to support disease prevention and control actions in the state. For the São Paulo Executive, the initiative contributed to the increase in the number of vaccinated.
According to data from the state government, in January and February 2025, 371,1 mil doses of the immunizer against yellow fever, a increase of 36.8% compared to the same period in 2024. Only in February, the most intense phase of the campaign, were 193,4 mil doses applied — high of 66.2% compared to 116.4 thousand in the same month of the previous year.
In addition to the communication campaign, the SP Executive presented the information system and data integrationthe work of “Vaccine Data Interoperability for the National Health Data Network (RNDS)” and the panel on the Incentive for Municipal Management of SUS Paulista (IGM SUS Paulista).
