Meteorologists warn of EXTREME: They announced the 2nd level of warning! See which districts take it away

Even on Sunday (June 21), high temperatures above 33 degrees Celsius can be expected in most of Slovakia. The warnings of the first and second degree are therefore valid from 13.00 to 19.00 h. The Slovak Hydrometeorological Institute (SHMÚ) informs about this on its website. At the same time, he warns of storms in central and eastern Slovakia on Sunday.

  • On Sunday, heat over thirty-three degrees Celsius will affect most of Slovakia.
  • Between 13:00 and 19:00, temperature warnings of the first and second degree apply.
  • There is a threat of Sunday storms with dangerous accompanying phenomena in central and eastern Slovakia.
  • In the Bratislava region and other districts, the temperature can reach thirty-five degrees.
  • In the Čadca district, a hydrological flood warning is valid until the twenty-first hour.

The second level warning was issued by experts for the entire Bratislava region and almost the entire Nitra and Trnava regions and the Veľký Krtíš district. In these areas, the temperature can rise to 35 degrees.

The lower warning applies to almost all of it Banskobystricky and Košice regions and the districts of Topoľčany, Zlaté Moravce, Hlohovec, Piešťany, Humenné, Prešov and Vranov nad Topľou. SHMÚ expects 33 degrees Celsius there.

On Saturday, SHMÚ issued a hydrological warning against a flash flood in the Čadca district. It is provisionally valid until 9:00 p.m.
