National team owner agrees transfer to Messi’s club after the World Cup

Midfielder Casemiro is “in a new home” for the 2026/2027 season. According to Fabrizio Romano, a journalist specializing in the transfer market, the experienced Brazilian player will play for Inter Miami, from the United States.

The verbal agreement, according to Romano, is agreed. Casemiro will be Lionel Messi’s teammate at the United States club. The desire to work alongside the Argentine star weighed on the decision.

Casemiro was free on the market after leaving Manchester United. The Brazilian, despite having received an offer from the English club, did not renew his contract and was looking for ‘a new home’ to continue his career.

In addition to the English club, Casemiro received inquiries from other markets. Al Nassr, from Saudi Arabia, went after the player. According to the international press, Cristiano Ronaldo, the Brazilian’s former colleague at Real Madrid, was seen as one of the ‘trump cards’ for signing the Brazilian.

Casemiro, 34 years old, was revealed by São Paulo in 2010. He stayed at Tricolor Paulist until 2013 when he was traded to Real Madrid-ESP. After a brief loan period at Porto-POR the following year, he returned to Real and made history at the Spanish club.

There were more than 300 games with the merengue shirt. In total, there were five UEFA Champions League titles and other championships such as Spanish, UEFA Super Cup and Club World Cup.

In 2022, he signed with Manchester United. For the Red Devils, there were two titles: English League Cup (2023) and FA Cup (2024).
