Suspicion of corruption: Spanish “First Lady” has to give up her passport


In the corruption trial against the wife of Spanish Prime Minister Pedro Sánchez, María Begoña Gómez Fernández, the judge in charge banned the 55-year-old from traveling abroad. According to an order published on Saturday by Judge Juan Carlos Peinado, Begoña Gómez must surrender her passport and report to the authorities twice a month.
