The suffering of the British is too small. They stick with Brexit


On June 23rd it will be exactly ten years since the citizens of the United Kingdom voted 52 to 48 percent for their country to leave the EU. Ten years later, the great paradox of the United Kingdom is that a majority of the population now believes Brexit was wrong, but no political force is seriously fighting to reverse it. The party of right-wing populist Nigel Farage, the man who contributed more to Brexit than anyone else, is leading in the polls despite a whopping majority of the electorate believing leaving the EU was a mistake. How can this contradiction be explained?
