Koeman resigns as bond coach after the Netherlands exit


Monterrey – Ronald Koeman announced his departure as team boss one day after the Netherlands were eliminated on penalties against Morocco in the round of 16 of the World Cup. The 63-year-old has been Elftal’s coach for the second time since the beginning of 2023; the former national player’s first term in office lasted from 2018 to 2020. Before that, Koeman worked as a coach for Ajax Amsterdam, Benfica Lisbon, PSV Eindhoven and Everton, among others, and then for a year at FC Barcelona.
