Katy Perry will join the first pure women’s space crew on board Blue Origin.
American pop singer Katy Perry will be part of a women’s six -member team on Monday to bring Blue Origin to space. According to AFP and DPA reports, TASR reports.
Katy Perry said on Sunday that she plans to sing in space. “I dreamed of going into space for 15 years and tomorrow the dream is becoming a reality,” said an American pop star on Instagram on Sunday. In a video dressed in a space suit, she shows her seat in a capsule and explains that her call name is “Feather”. “I think I’m going to sing, I’ll sing a little,” says Perry. “I have to sing in space,” she added.
Start of New Shepard missiles
The start of the New Shepard missile from Western Texas is scheduled for around 8:30 am. Local Time (13:30 CEST), but can move depending on weather conditions. The flight will last approximately 10 minutes and transport passengers to the internationally recognized universe border approximately 100 kilometers above the sea. The crew can be detached from the seats and float in zero gravity.
Together with Katy Perry, moderator Gayle King, Lauren Sanchez, producer Kerianne Flynn and scientist Aisha Bow and Amanda Nguyen, will fly.
Blue Origin Flight History
Blue Origin has been organizing short space in space since 2021. Some passengers have received free trip from Bezos, while others had to pay a few tens of thousands of dollars. So far, 52 people have transported to the suborbital universe.
Monday’s mission is the first purely female space crew from the historic flight of Soviet cosmonaut Valentina Tereskova in 1963. It will also be a 11th Blue Origin Flight, which has been offering space tourism for several years. The company does not communicate publicly.
