Bucharest – after counting almost 99 percent of the votes in the Romanian presidential elections – that was published by the election commission – right -wing populist sovereignty candidate George Simion was 40.6 percent of the vote, followed by the liberal mayor of Bukharest, Nicușor Dan with 20.9 percent. “I got into the second round. Thank you!”, Dan posted on Facebook on Sunday night. The third place was the candidate of the social democratic-conservative government, Crin Antonescu with 20.3 percent.
