To expect an early, rich and sweet strawberry harvest, you need to know how and how to fertilize the strawberries. Proper watering and well -balanced diet during flowering have a huge impact on root strength, berry size and sweetness. One of the simplest and most effective natural fertilizers for strawberries is the granular chicken manure solution. It is rich in nutrients that stimulate active growth and fruit.
Try these fertilizers that can double the harvest and the fruits will be larger and sweeter!
You will need:
- 10 liters of water
- Granular chicken manure (do not use fresh manure)
It is recommended to use granulated fertilizers as they are cleaned and have less ammonia than fresh manure. Excessive ammonia levels are harmful to the root system – it can burn the roots and severely damage the plants.
- Fill a 1 liter jar with granular chicken manure.
- Put in a bucket with 10 liters of water. Cover the lid.
- After 2 hours of fertilizers, will be ready for use.
- Stir well. It is important that the pellets are not settled at the bottom.
- Submit this fertilizer in a 1 liter jar.
- Dilute 10 liters of water.
- Wake the plants with the resulting fertilizer.
Tip:
If the ground is too dry, water the strawberries before fertilizing and allow the water to absorb. Use 1 l of these fertilizers for 1 plant. If your strawberries are overgrown, water the bed for 10 l of these fertilizers.
Very soon, the strawberries will begin to release new healthy leaves, which will affect the harvest and the overall health of the plant. Chicken stool contains potassium phosphate, which promotes root formation. The beneficial micro and macro elements in the fertilizer will provide abundant harvest.
You can repeat this fertilization after flowering. If you are growing repair varieties, repeat fertilization before the second flowering.
