A man escaped by a Triz to a tragedy in the United States, thanks to the rapid intervention of two New Jersean police officers. The incident occurred on the night of May 12, when the driver’s vehicle was immobilized over the railroad of Norfolk Southern’s railway line on New Brunswick Avenue in Piscataway Township.
According to the Jersey My Central newspaper, which cites local authorities, the warning was given shortly before midnight. Arriving at the scene, the Hinchcliffe and Ward police found the car stopped on the tracks, with the driver apparently disoriented and unable to respond to the orders to get out of the car.
With a train about to arrive, the agents did not hesitate: they ran to the vehicle, opened the door and managed to remove the man safely. Moments later, the train passed and completely destroyed the car.
“The cold blood and the prompt action of our agents have avoided a possible tragedy,” said the local police department, through a publication on social networks, where the professionalism of the two police involved praised.
This episode underlines the importance of rapid response in emergency situations – and as seconds can make all the difference between life and death.
