How to plant cucumbers

First, it is important to know when you should plant cucumbers. Usually it is in the winter or early spring. The seeds are ideal to plant in a pot with multi -purpose compost without peat. Place them in a five -centimeter flower pot either vertically or on the side, but not flat. The ideal depth is 1 to 2 centimeters. Place two seeds in each pot. Remember that cucumbers need a temperature of at least 20 ° C. This is the first step to grow a successful crop crop. As soon as the first leaves begin to appear, cucumber seedlings must be transplanted.

Once the seedlings appear, remove the weaker one so that the stronger can grow at rest and have space. Then move the stronger seedlings into a slightly larger pot, ideally nine -centimeter. At the end of May it is also possible to move the seedlings straight out. First, however, make sure that the last frosts have already passed. After planting, cover the ground with a non -woven textile to keep the soil warm. If cucumbers love something, it’s warm and soft soil.
