Electricity company Engie had net profit of R $ 567 million in the second quarter, a 34% drop over the performance of a year earlier, according to a balance published on Thursday (7).
The company found an operational performance measured by EBITDA of R $ 1.87 billion, an annual decline of 4.6%.
Gross electricity production fell 30.1% in the period to 4,088 average megawatts, although the energy sold has grown 4.8% to 4,254 MW.
Net operating revenue totaled R $ 3.09 billion, an expansion of 10.1% over the second quarter of 2024.
