This year’s Black Friday brought irresistible promotions for several products, including extra virgin olive oil, which was popular in Spain. The Nuestra Señora de Perales cooperative, located in Arroyo de San Serván, in the province of Badajoz, decided to sell olive oil at highly competitive prices, with five-liter bottles priced at 29.50 euros and one-liter bottles priced at just six euros.

The offer, launched on social media, quickly spread and generated endless queues, with even cars and trailers ready to load large quantities of olive oil. In just two days, the cooperative sold 50 thousand liters, and on Wednesday, 20 thousand liters had already been sold.
Miguel Ángel Miranda, manager of the cooperative, explained that the idea came up in November, anticipating Black Friday, and revealed that expectations were “largely exceeded”. The promotion, which will continue until December 5th, has been a huge success, showing how a well-thought-out offer can attract huge demand.
