Italy’s judiciary wants to deliver alleged North Stream saboter

The 49-year-old Ukrainian and alleged saboteur obviously did not expect a arrest or delivery: on August 20, he had entered Italy with his regular passport with his wife and two children to spend a few days of family vacation on the Adriatic. Of course, it should be a short stay: the handcuffs clicked on the night of August 21. Due to a European arrest warrant requested by the German Federal Prosecutor’s Office, the alleged mastermind of sabotage was arrested on the gas pipelines in the Baltic Sea. In his arrest, K. was with the family in a bungalow of a holiday settlement in San Clemente near Rimini.
