
Poland has temporarily closed the airspace near the sweating cities of Lublin and Rzeszow up to at least 4.00 GMT (the 6.00 in Spain peninsular) this Sunday due to “unplanned military activities related to state safety”, as reported by the Fumtradar24 flight monitoring service24. The Polish armed forces claim that they have sent airplanes to guarantee the safety of airspace after the latest Russian air attacks against Ukraine.
“In relation to the activity of the long -range aviation of the Russian Federation that is carrying out attacks in the territory of Ukraine, Poles and Allied airplanes have begun to operate in our airspace,” explains the army in a publication on platform X. The military describes actions as “preventive” and aimed at guaranteeing safety the airspace and protecting citizens.
