Hours after the first crime, another pharmacy in the capital of São Paulo was also the victim of a robbery, this time in the east zone
Two men, aged 19 and 21, were arrested and a teenager, aged 17, was arrested in the early hours of Tuesday (28) after stealing weight-loss pens valued at R$77,000 from a pharmacy on Avenida Pompeia, in the neighborhood of Pompeia, in the west zone of .
According to the PM, the teams were on preventive patrol when they identified a suspicious vehicle with three occupants. The police asked the driver to stop, but he did not comply, which led to a chase, which only ended in the city of Osasco, in the metropolitan region of São Paulo, after the car collided with a pole.
Inside the vehicle, which had a cloned license plate and had been stolen, the agents found 41 boxes of weight-loss pens, from brands such as Wegovy, Monjauro and Ozempic, as well as R$2,300 in cash, a fake gun and a license plate.
One of the suspects had been arrested just over a month ago for stealing, but was already free, according to the PM. The second was arrested four times in the last three years – the last arrest was about a year ago, also for stealing.
The Public Security Secretariat () of the State of São Paulo states that the pharmacy representative recognized the detainees. The seized items were returned. The case was registered as theft, corrupting or facilitating the corruption of minors under 18 years of age, tampering with a vehicle identification sign and reception in the 5th Police District of Osasco.
Another robbery
Hours after the first crime, another pharmacy in the capital of São Paulo was also the victim of a robbery, this time in the east zone. According to the PM, four suspects tried to rob an establishment on Rua São Celso, but were detained. They were armed and had a stolen car. The case will be registered with the 1st Division of Investigations into Theft, Theft and Receiving of Vehicles and Cargo (Divecar).
