Cruzeiro do Sul City Hall celebrates another important achievement. The municipality reached first place in Acre and second place in the North Region in terms of Primary Health Care coverage, according to the 2025 Municipal Competitiveness Ranking, prepared by the Public Leadership Center -CLP. The survey evaluated the performance of municipalities with populations between 80 and 100 thousand inhabitants, considering the ability to guarantee access, structure and quality service to the population.
The municipality stood out for investing heavily in expanding itinerant care, in the actions of medium-complexity medical specialties and in maintaining a robust structure of basic health units. These advances have ensured that Primary Care, the gateway to the public system, is increasingly closer to citizens.

The recognition reinforces the commitment of Mayor Zequinha Lima’s administration to expand and strengthen the health network, ensuring that services reach all regions, from the urban area to the most distant communities.
“We have been working to bring medical, dental and nursing care to the most distant communities, ensuring that no one is left without access to care. National recognition shows that Cruzeiro do Sul is on the right path”, highlighted Mayor Zequinha Lima.
According to the municipal secretary of Health, Marcelo Siqueira, the result reflects the efforts of the teams and the continuous planning of the administration.
“We ranked first in Acre and second regionally in terms of coverage of primary care, in municipalities with between 80 and 100 thousand inhabitants. This is a recognition that demonstrates how much progress we have made in bringing quality healthcare to the population, the result of the tireless work of our teams and the commitment of Mayor Zequinha Lima’s management to strengthening the SUS in Cruzeiro do Sul”, highlighted the secretary.

The performance in the national ranking consolidates Cruzeiro do Sul as a reference in public health policies in Acre, standing out among the municipalities that have invested the most in planning, efficiency and humanization of care.
