PGR denounces security of STJ lobbyist for obstruction – 11/03/2025 – Brasília Hoje

The (Attorney General’s Office) filed a complaint against Dejair Silvestre dos Santos, who was suspected of leading a lawsuit at the (Superior Court of Justice).

Silvestre, who is a retired sergeant from the Mato Grosso Military Police, is accused of obstructing an investigation into a criminal organization.

He would have warned the lobbyist of a search and seizure warrant ordered by Minister Cristiano Zanin, of the (Federal Supreme Court), at the beginning of October. According to the prosecution, he also hid a cell phone from the police.

The complaint is signed by the Attorney General of the Republic, . The information was initially released by the newspaper and confirmed by Sheet.

When contacted, Silvestre’s lawyer, Lucas Curvo, states in a note that the defense “reaffirms its conviction in the innocence of the client, who denies having carried out any act with the intention of obstructing a judicial investigation.”

He states that he requested that the case be removed from the Supreme Court, as his client does not have a special forum, and that “it is natural that the reporting minister decides to send the case to the first instance, where the facts can be fully investigated in compliance with the adversarial process and broad defense.”

“The defense reiterates that no concrete element demonstrates intent or intention to embarrass investigations, and that all conduct attributed will be duly clarified during the process.”

Andreson, suspected of intermediating a scheme to sell decisions at the STJ, was the target of a search and seizure on October 3.

He has been in the interior of Mato Grosso since July, by order of Zanin. The minister authorized house arrest after a positive opinion from the PGR regarding the lobbyist’s release from a federal prison in Brasília, due to his health condition.

It was the minister himself who ordered the operation on the 3rd, to find out whether he was failing to comply with precautionary measures.
