The (Brazilian Intelligence Agency) installed an intelligence center in Belém (PA) as part of actions that seek to guarantee security during the UN conference on climate change taking place this month in the capital of Pará.
The structure will operate until November 23 and will provide daily reports on the situation in the city during the conference. The place will bring together professionals from different specialties who will work in Pará and remotely from other cities.
With the structure, Abin says it wants to speed up the processing and dissemination of strategic information, prioritizing situations that require a quick response. According to the agency, the work seeks to anticipate intentional and unintentional risks, ensuring continuous support to the authorities responsible for event security.
In Rio, Abin also installed an intelligence center to monitor parallel events to COP30, such as the Local Leaders Forum and the World Meeting of Mayors. The structure was set up because of the authorities that will participate in these activities.
