Belem – At the climate conference in Brazil, the group of least developed countries denounced the cumbersomeness of the annual UN summits. The results are poor, even though the climate crisis is already causing destruction everywhere and costing lives, said diplomat Evans Njewa from Malawi in Belém, Brazil, where the 30th UN Climate Change Conference is now taking place. “We talk, discuss and make promises. Then we postpone it and meet again.”
