The Turkish Ministry of Defense announced on Wednesday that none of the 20 people on board survived the accident of the military cargo plane that crashed in Georgia on Tuesday while returning from Azerbaijan. The cause of the accident is still unknown. TASR informs about it according to the report of the AP agency.
“Our heroic comrades died a martyr’s death on November 11, 2025, when our C-130 military cargo plane, which took off from Azerbaijan to our country, crashed near the border of Georgia and Azerbaijan,” Defense Minister Yasar Guler said on the X Network, where he also published photos of the victims of the accident.
Authorities are still investigating the cause of the accident. Both Turkish and Georgian officials arrived at the scene of the incident. C-130 Hercules aircraft are used by the Turkish Armed Forces for personnel transport or logistics operations.
