California Governor Gavin Newsom criticized the United States’ absence from climate discussions and classified the Donald Trump administration’s stance as “dumb”.

Newsom participated in a panel at the German pavilion at COP30, in Belém, this Tuesday, 11th. The governor highlighted that California differentiates itself from the “current occupant of the White House”, in reference to Trump, and is a stable and reliable partner.
