Rival Barcelona records drop in financial balance for 2023/2024; see the comparison between the 2 Spanish teams
The club recorded growth in its total operating revenue compared to the previous season, with an increase of 234.6 million euros, according to Football Benchmark, which published a comparison of the financial statements of the 2 main clubs in the 2023/2024 season. .
The Spanish team became the first football club to exceed 1 billion euros in revenue. Meanwhile, it recorded a drop of R$41.7 million, taking its total operating revenue to R$758.7 million.

Real Madrid appears with an advantage in all categories evaluated. Looking at total operating expenses, however, it is FC Barcelona that has seen the best evolution compared to the 2022/2023 season.
It is worth noting that despite both clubs’ profit before player trades, only Real Madrid reported profit after tax in 2023/2024.
