A Aneel (National Electric Energy Agency) established a task force to reinforce inspection actions, technical-operational monitoring and regulatory analysis related to the concessionaire’s operations Enel Distribution São Paulo facing extreme weather events.
The decision was published in DOU (Official Gazette of the Union) this Friday (19).
The task force will have the following main objectives:
- Monitor, on site or remotely, the actions taken by the concessionaire to restore and stabilize the electricity supply;
- Support inspection activities regarding compliance with service continuity, quality and safety standards;
- Support the instruction of administrative processes, including sanctions, when applicable;
- Analyze technical, operational, economic and regulatory information related to the event;
- Prepare technical reports to support the decisions of the Collegiate Board.
The task force’s activities will initially last 90 days, starting this Friday (19). The deadline may be extended for an equal period.
