The differences in the view of Slovak reality will deepen in 2026. This was stated by Prime Minister Robert Fico (Smer-SD) in his New Year’s address. He stated that this year is a pre-election year and it will look like that. According to him, people will witness a further increase in tension. He rejected political culture “self-flagellation and creation of the image of Slovakia as a black scorched earth”.
