Actress Zuzana Vačková heard shocking words from the doctor after a colonoscopy in 2025. It turned out that she had a tumor in her body, even though she was not suffering from any symptoms of oncological disease. Thanks to the colonoscopy, the doctors managed to detect the problem in time. In the podcast, she revealed details about how her life changed.
“Today I have surgery, the part of the intestine where the tumor was the doctors (to whom I owe a huge thank you and the entire team of the hospital) made the choice and I’m moving on with my life,” announced Vačková at the end of July, whose preventive examination probably saved her life.
Shortly before Christmas 2025, she announced positive news on the social network. She had a check-up and the results were good. “Health. Closeness. Love. People we can hug. People we love and who love us. For me, Christmas today means even more peace of mind, gratitude and joy in ordinary moments“, she was looking forward to the recent Christmas.
More than 5 months have passed since her shocking announcement about the tumor and according to her, she is feeling well, but has to go for regular check-ups. She also realizes that she has a difficult journey ahead of her. “With these oncological diseases, it’s such a long-distance run, because we never completely win it,” he believes in the latest interview in the Pravda daily.
The discovery of the pre-salen tumor had its positives. “In a way, it stopped me and made me reevaluate my approach to how I live, what I do. Even though I eat healthy, live healthy, rest, try to avoid stress… but then I evaluated that not enough,” admitted.
During her recovery, many fans criticized her for trying to function as before. “I also had comments that: ‘Two months ago she was dying in the hospital and today she is laughing'” she clarified, saying that she was asked to behave adequately to her diagnosis. “It bothers them that I go to cosmetics, I go skiing, after all, I should suffer quietly at home and prepare for death or I don’t know what,” she remarked with a laugh.
He takes their words very seriously. “I don’t take it as things that concern me, but those are things that concern those people. They look at me through their point of view, so I’m not responsible for what their lives are like. They have to solve that with themselves.” added the actress, who is currently enjoying good health.
