“I thought: 'we're gone'…”. Catarina Miranda experiences “scare” on the road and reports a moment of distress

Catarina Miranda was on the program ‘Passadeira Vermelha’ last Tuesday, January 27th, together with Zulmira Garrido and Hugo Mendes, commenting on the latest celebrity news.

At the beginning of the broadcast, and with a view to alerting all drivers, the commentator decided to share the frightening episode she experienced last Sunday (25), when she was traveling with her husband on the motorway.

After highlighting that the images of the “scare” never leave her head, Catarina Miranda then explained what she experienced: “We were coming from a weekend in Porto (…). In the Santarém area, I remember seeing a sheet of water and thinking: “let’s just go over it” and as soon as we passed, hydroplaning…”realized.

The commentator revealed that the car then slid for several seconds through the water, without her husband being able to control it, revealing what she was thinking at that exact moment.

“The car was rattling, I remember I looked in the mirror and saw that we had a lot of cars behind, fortunately, because we crossed the three lanes and those were seconds, but in my head it was minutes. And I remember that the car was so difficult to hold that I grabbed Miguel’s arm with immense strength and I swear to you that for a few seconds I thought: “ok, it’s time to go, we’re gone”, I really thought the car was going to turn. That’s it, and that’s it. For a while, Miguel managed to hold the car. We remained silent for a long time and only then did we manage to… I’m still shaking a little”realized.
