The ‘border czar’: “Trump believes that things can be done better and that is why I am in Minneapolis”

After the criminal actions of several agents from two immigration control agencies, perpetrators of the murder of two American citizens in the city of Minneapolis (Minnesota) with the argument that they posed a threat to security, it was the US president himself who wanted to lower the intensity of the actions in order to calm a tense citizenry. With this objective, Trump has sent its ‘border czar’, Tom Homan, who has announced that he will lead the operations “until the problem is over.”

“We are going to carry out safer and more effective operations. “Trump believes that improvements can be made and that is why I am here in Minneapolis.”has said Homan in his press appearance in the city. “Operations are going to improve due to the changes we are making internally,” he added.

He ‘border czar’ has assured that specific operations will be carried out because “certain improvements can and should be made”. Homan, however, also criticized the rhetoric of hatred that is being deployed against immigration agents.

Two fatalities
