Negotiation enters financial impasse
According to journalist Lucas Musetti, the initial proposal presented by the Dutch is around 4 million euros (around R$24.8 million, at current prices). However, the value still does not meet the expectations of the Santos board.
Internally, Peixe understands that the athlete has market potential and, therefore, established a minimum level to release the player towards European football: 6 million euros (around R$37.2 million).
The difference between the requested and offered values keeps the negotiation without immediate definition. The São Paulo club tries to use the athlete’s recent history as an argument to raise the proposal.
JP Chermont’s moment at Santos
JP Chermont was a starter for Santos during the Série B campaign in 2024, a period in which he gained sequence and visibility. However, in the following season, he ended up losing space in the main squad.
With fewer opportunities, the full-back returned to the under-20 team and even competed in the Copinha. Even so, he was once again integrated into the professional squad led by Vojvoda.
This week, he was listed for the clash against Chapecoense, but remained on the bench.
JP Chermont’s numbers at Santos
