Lula leaves hospital after cataract surgery on his left eye

President Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva left the hospital in Brasília this Friday morning (30), where he underwent cataract surgery in his left eye. Lula arrived at the hospital around 7:20 am. The surgery, according to the Political Broadcastwas scheduled for 8 am. The president left the place at 10:04 am with the presidential convoy.

The CBV Hospital de Olhos, where Lula underwent the procedure, is in Asa Sul, in Brasília, close to the Sírio-Libanês hospital.

The Presidency’s Social Communication Secretariat has not provided information about the surgery since Thursday afternoon (29), when it reported that the president underwent exams and would undergo the procedure this Friday. However, he did not provide the time or location. Nor has it released information, to date, about the president’s surgery or recovery period.
