From June onwards, the country will have a new luxury resort on the Troia peninsula, with nightly prices that place the project among the most expensive in the national hotel industry. Hotel na Praia already has reservations open and offers an offer that starts at 1,300 euros per night, reaching 5,700 euros in the most exclusive type.
According to Jornal de Negócios, the project is now coming into operation after a prolonged process, marked by delays and a temporary interruption of works, which affected the schedule initially planned for opening.
Suspended works and return to the field
During part of 2023, construction was stopped following a precautionary measure presented by the Associação Dunas Livres. According to the same source, this situation led to the suspension of work for several months. Once the dispute was over, the newspaper writes, the project was resumed and accelerated to meet the objective of opening doors at the beginning of summer, coinciding with the period of greatest tourist demand.
Reservations for Hotel na Praia are available from June 1st. The same source states that the price of the stay varies according to the type, with a significant range between the most affordable unit and the most exclusive.
The entry option is the Pinheiro Suite, costing 1,300 euros per night. This unit has 60 square meters, king size bed, private covered terrace, heated floors, bathtub, shower and host service.
The offer also includes the Duna Suite, measuring 78 square meters, priced at 1,600 euros per night. According to the same source, this typology follows the same concept of comfort and privacy as the rest of the resort. The same price is charged at Casa Duna, measuring 115 square meters, prepared to accommodate up to three guests, offering a larger area and greater autonomy during the stay.
Private pool as a differentiating factor
Among the typologies with additional features is the Pinheiro Suite, with a heated outdoor pool. The publication explains that this unit has 115 square meters, walk-in closet, private covered terrace, heated floors, bathtub, shower and host service. In this case, the price per night rises to 2,300 euros, reflecting the inclusion of the private pool and the larger area available.
At the top of the offer is the larger Casa Duna. According to the same source, this unit totals 335 square meters and includes a king size bed, private outdoor terrace, heated outdoor pool, fully equipped kitchen and living room with suspended fireplace. The house also includes a dining area, interior patio, walk-in closet, heated floors, outdoor shower with patio, bathtub, shower and host service. The cost per night reaches 5,700 euros.
Who is behind the project
Hotel na Praia is promoted by Sandra Ortega, daughter of Amancio Ortega, founder of the Inditex group, owner of brands such as Zara, Pull & Bear, Bershka, Massimo Dutti, Stradivarius and Oysho. It adds that the investment is part of a strategy of investing in high-value assets.
With prices starting in four figures and reaching 5,700 euros per night, the new resort becomes part of the highest segment of the national hotel industry, in a market where the difference between typologies can represent thousands of euros per night.
