In a note sent to the Lusa agency, the municipality of Sertã, in the district of Castelo Branco, explained that the restoration took place on Friday, being a “temporary resolution”.

“The municipality of Sertã calls on the population residing in this area of ​​the town to use electricity consciously and responsibly, using it only for the bare minimum.”

The municipality emphasizes that the lack of electricity is a problem that is currently affecting a large part of the municipality of Sertã.

“Several efforts are being made to ensure that it is reestablished as quickly as possible. However, given the level of destruction, its permanent resolution is expected to take time”, he says.

The Government declared a state of calamity between 00:00 on Wednesday and 23:59 on February 1st for around 60 municipalities, a number that could increase.
