Despite torn cruciate ligament: Vonn is sticking to the Olympic start

Lindsey Vonn defies the diagnosis: The American wants to take part in the Olympic Games even with a torn cruciate ligament. Vonn confirmed on Tuesday in Cortina that she was definitely planning on going there. “I was on skis today and my knee held up. With a splint I feel stable enough to start,” explained the 41-year-old. And: “I have to wait for the downhill training. The knee could be unstable. But as long as I keep it stable, it should be okay.”
