Secretary of Social Development of São José do Rio Preto (440 km from SP), Sandra Reis invited city hall employees via a WhatsApp group audio to create a militia with the aim of spreading positive news about the administration of mayor Coronel Fábio Candido ().
A friend of the former president and of , whom he has already visited in the United States, Candido has suffered criticism for the almost 20% increase in the value of IPTU (Urban Property and Territorial Tax) this year.
“We had a meeting with the mayor, and it is very important, in the face of all these inventions that we are suffering from the opposition, that we take a stand. And something very, very important is that we create this militia of strength, of strengthening”, says the secretary, in the audio. “Please, it is very important that you comment positively, repost”, he added.
When contacted, the city hall of the interior city declined to comment.
