Families from settlements in Xapuri, in the interior of Acre, will benefit from around R$1 million in Installation Credit resources, guaranteed by the National Institute of Colonization and Agrarian Reform (). The resources are aimed at the development of family farming.
The announcement was made on the 30th during an event attended by settlers. Of the R$1 million in resources, around R$500,000 are already in the beneficiaries’ bank accounts, and the rest will be made available after the respective contracts are signed.

The amount, which benefits 80 families, includes the Initial Support and Women’s Promotion modalities. The benefiting families are from the Floresta, Polo Recanto do Ecuador, and Tupá settlements. The initiative also serves families from the agroextractivist settlements Chico Mendes and Ecuador, the Polo Agro-hortifrutigrangeiro Sibério cocoon settlement and the Chico Mendes Extractive Reserve.
It was also announced during the event that in the coming days Incra will operate in other municipalities in Acre, providing more support, more investments and more opportunities for those who live and produce in the countryside.
